A brief history of “Danubiana” Technical College Roman

  • 1951 was born the school of vocational qualifications under the patronage of the “Ilie Pintilie” sugar factory from Roman
  • 1974 The vocational school turns into The food industries high school
  • On September 1975 we used for the first time our new building, a gym and a canteen with the capacity of 150 seats
  • In 1977 the new name of our school is The industrial High school no 4, and in 1990 it was called The Industrial School Group of Food Industries
  • The high school evolution was spectacular: at the beginning our high school had 17 classrooms with 537 pupils guided by 22 teachers and in 1990 it had 41 classrooms, 1204 pupils and 47 teachers and now it has 94 classrooms, 2411 pupils and 147 teachers
  • Our high school continues its upward trajectory, becoming THE TECHNICAL COLLEGE DANUBIANA, from 2004

About us

Along the years the “Danubiana” Technical College Roman has succeeded in creating, with the help of some valuable people, the image of a school which offers, together with a distinguished education, the perspective of the pupils’ personal development and of its graduates’ social and professional integration.

The greatest college in the north of Moldavia is recognized as being one of the choice school in the area, a school which has achieved fame and tradition in the field of food industry specializations which are unique in the county. The social identity of our educational institution has been built along the years with contribution of the valuable teachers and the good image that it has within the local communities proved by the competition that has existed at the high school entrance examination every year.


The elements which make our school unique are:
- the complex educational offer adjusted to the highest standards
- the large number of pupils – 2411 – for the current school year belonging to all levels of preuniversitarian education: kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, high school – morning, evening and reduced attendance, the school of skills and trades, the vocational school and post high school.
- the very well trained teaching staff in whom the energy, the enthusiasm and the innovator spirit of the young efficiently combines with the experience of the elderly
- a wide material base which covers the educational necessities and which is continually improved
- the experience gathered during its 30 years of existence
